Is Nectar Skin made in the Philippines?

Definitely! All our products are formulated from start to finish by us, right here in the Philippines!

From labelling our pretty bottles, inserting flowers, mixing, pouring the oils, and packing your orders—ALL ARE DONE IN HOUSE! Absolutely nothing is outsourced!

Where is your headquarters based?

Our headquarters is based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.

How often do you restock?

We restock every few weeks once our current batch has sold out.

Our products are handmade in small batches of twenty to fifty at a time, and this isn't just about maintaining freshness and superior quality—it's also our way of preventing any unnecessary waste caused by unsold items. Our goal is for each of our creations to find its way to someone's skin and be enjoyed to the fullest. ♡

So don't worry if your favorite blend or size is temporarily unavailable. We regularly replenish our inventory to make sure you always have access to the freshest, top-quality products.

What is a Body Oil?

Think of it as the upgraded version of your daily moisturiser. Achieving that glowing & healthy skin has always been a beauty goal since forever and we believe our body oils could help you achieve that. They're super lightweight, non-greasy, absorbs quickly, plus the scents? Totally irresistible!!! While body lotions do a solid job at keeping your skin hydrated in a sense, oils give that extra layer of moisture your skin's been craving (minus the harsh/toxic stuff.)

And we totally get it. Body oils might be somewhat intimidating because it could potentially be messy or cause breakouts–but trust us! Once you join the body oil club and make it a part of your self-care ritual, there's surely no going back! 😉

How to use your Bath & Body Oils?

Here are some hacks we're excited to share for you to maximize the use of your body oil:

  • Shower oil: Apply on damp skin after a shower or in-shower for an indulgent experience.
  • Bath oil: Add a few full droppers to your bathwater for a next-level moisturising spa-like soak.
  • Daily moisturiser: Apply on dry skin all over your body anytime during the day. You can pay extra attention to those rough spots like elbows, knees, and heels.
  • Massage oil: Apply a few drops on your hands to warm it up for a luscious body massage experience.
  • Pre-shave oil: Ditch the cream and prep with our oil for a tug-free, silky shave.
  • Perfume oil: Apply oil to your pulse points, such as the wrists, inner part of your elbows, neck, and cleavage, for a lingering and luxurious scent. You can even layer it with your favorite perfume to make your fragrance last longer.
  • Hair oil: After indulging your body, use the leftover oil on your hands to tame frizz and prevent split ends by applying it to the ends of your hair.
  • Cuticle oil: Apply a drop of oil on each cuticle and gently massage to nourish and hydrate them, keeping them looking fresh and healthy.

These are just usage suggestions and there's basically no 'wrong way' to enjoy using your body oil. In fact, the possibilities are endless when it comes to getting creative with your favorite Nectar Skin Bath & Body Oil. ♡

Are there specific guidelines to follow when using your body oils?

  1. Always shake well before using.
  2. As with any cosmetic product, we always recommend doing a patch test prior to use to ensure skin compatibility (especially if you have sensitive skin).
  3. Keep away from your pets. The blends contain ingredients that can be harmful to them.
  4. Store in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight. This can greatly affect the shelf life of your body oils.
  5. Use within 9 months of opening your bottle.
  6. Remember to use SPF when using your body oil outdoors (under direct sunlight). Apply the oil first, then once dry, apply your SPF.

Where do you source your ingredients from?

We make it a point to ethically source our ingredients both locally and around the globe. Our meticulous and conscious curation of materials ensures that everything we create is nothing short of high-end quality. 🌹

Are your products vegan?

Yes, all our products are vegan.

Do you test your products on animals?

Never! We strongly disapprove of any animal testing. Our products and ingredients have not been tested on animals, nor are any of the ingredients animal derived. This commitment has been a core principle of our business from the beginning and will continue to be. 🐰🌿

Are your products all-natural and organic?

While we do have specific blends that are all-natural, it's important to note that even though the rest of our blends flaunt natural ingredients, they are not entirely 100% natural.

Some of our fragrances, for instance, consist of a blend of both natural and synthetic elements. The natural components are derived from plants or flowers (essential oils), while synthetic components are crafted from man-made materials. We never claim our products to be entirely 100% natural. We do, however, assure you they are vegan and free of nasty unnecessary chemicals.

The decision to incorporate specific ingredients into our products is rooted in our belief that product's function and scent are just as important as the ingredients themselves. 🌿💚

Why did my body oil appear slightly darker/lighter/more yellow than my other bottle?

Our body oils are made with cold-processed natural oils derived from fruits, nuts, and seeds. These natural ingredients retain their inherent colors, so slight variations in shade can occur between batches. This is a normal characteristic of natural products and doesn't affect the oil's quality or effectiveness.

What are the ingredients in your Bath & Body Oils?

Our body oils are powered by plant-based oils with potent skincare benefits.

⤑ Macadamia Oil
Rich in highly regenerating vitamin E and antioxidants, it’s a proven anti-aging oil that helps moisturise dry and dehydrated skin and leaves skin feeling supple and soft.

⤑ Avocado Oil
With its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds, it works to combat dry, dull and eczema/psoriasis prone skin. Its healing effects also help with issues like sunburn.

⤑ Apricot Kernel Oil
Its antiseptic, antibacterial, and antioxidant effects help improve dull skin tone, increase skin’s elasticity and heal blemishes. Yup, that's the Vitamin C and E working together.

⤑ Botanicals
Infused with herbs and botanicals that assist in repairing and moisturising the skin while providing proven anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial benefits

⤑ Fragrance
Exquisitely scented using a blend of the highest quality essential oils + fine fragrance oils sourced both locally and from around the globe

How do you formulate your fragrances?

We do not disclose how we formulate our fragrances because those details are proprietary to Nectar Skin.

But rest assured that all fragrances are carefully crafted to be safe for use on the body and generally only make up a small percentage of our finished formulations. It's also worth mentioning that they are 100% compliant with IFRA standards.

I have sensitive skin, can I use your products?

Yes! Our body oils are filled with nourishing ingredients suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

As with any cosmetic product, we always recommend doing a patch test prior to use to ensure your skin compatibility (especially if you have sensitive skin).

If you are unsure, please discuss this with your GP.

How long can I use your body oils after receiving them?

Our products have a 9-month expiry after receiving.

Sustainability

What are your sustainability practices?

We're going the extra mile to be environmentally low-impact wherever possible, but we are still far from perfect. Currently, our packaging is already 95% biodegradable and recyclable + we're actively cutting down our reliance on plastic by using alternative materials and designs. This includes intentionally minimizing our label sizes and printing them on clear material to cover only a certain part of the bottle, making it easier to be identified and sorted for recycling.

And here's the thing–we're not stopping there. We're continuously looking for ways to improve our packaging by working with more recycled, recyclable and biodegradable materials, with the goal of achieving 99% compostable and recyclable packaging and labels by 2024. As part of these efforts, we're also working on how we can possibly reduce our secondary packaging.

It's not easy but our commitment to ongoing efforts means that we're constantly taking the necessary measures to practice sustainability and be better at every step, as much as we can. 🌎✨

Do you offer refills?

Not at the moment.

But we are currently working on this and exploring ways to offer refills without compromising quality and your overall customer experience.

Are your glass bottles recyclable?

Absolutely! Firstly, we hope your glass bottle serves you well for as long as possible. But if it comes to a time when your bottle is no longer serving its purpose, simply rinse it out and toss it into your recycling bin.

However, as we've introduced plastic labels onto the glass (since we can't print directly on it), it would be great if you could remove the labels before recycling. This ensures a smoother recycling process. Plastic labels do not easily break apart and can mean that some glass remains stuck to the plastic, preventing it from being recycled.

Shipping & Payment

When will my order ship out?

Orders are normally processed and shipped within 3 to 5 business days for local shipments and 2-3 business days for HQ pickups.

However, during peak holiday seasons, high-demand sales periods, or unforeseen natural calamities–it might take an additional 2 to 3 business days.

Once your order ships or is ready for pickup, expect a shipment notification email with a tracking number or pickup details to keep you in the loop. If you haven't received a notification, feel free to reach out to us at nectarskinstore@gmail.com, and we'll check on it for you.

How long does shipping take?

Estimated time of arrival:

  • Metro Manila: within 3-5 business days
  • Other parts of Luzon: within 5-7 business days
  • Provincial shipping: within 7-10 business days

⚠️ Just to be clear, these delivery days don't include the order processing time.

Do you allow same-day pick-up?

No, but we do allow next-day pickup requests from our Quezon City HQ – subject to availability. Kindly make your request via email, Instagram DM or simply leave a note on the Special Instructions field during check out. We’ll let you know asap if we have the capacity to accommodate your request.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept debit and credit card payments via PayPal Express Checkout, GCash, online bank transfers, and Maya QR.

If you prefer another payment method, we're happy to assist. Please reach out to us directly to discuss your request.

When is the deadline for my payment?

To secure your order, please settle your payment within 24 hours through the options provided. Our system automatically cancels unpaid orders after this time.
